Who we are
WriteTested (writetested.com) is an independent review site for AI writing tools, operated by Marcus Webb, based in Austin, Texas. You can reach us at marcus@writetested.com.
What we collect
We collect minimal data. When you visit WriteTested, Google Analytics (GA4) records anonymized usage data — pages visited, session duration, approximate location (country/city level), and device type. We do not collect names, email addresses, or any personally identifiable information unless you contact us directly. If you contact us via email, we store your email address and message to respond to you. We do not add you to any mailing list.
Cookies
We use Google Analytics cookies to understand site traffic. These are first-party analytics cookies. We do not use advertising cookies, retargeting pixels, or any third-party tracking beyond GA4. You can opt out of Google Analytics tracking by installing the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on (tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout).

Some links on this site are affiliate links. When you click an affiliate link and make a purchase, we may earn a commission — at no additional cost to you. The third-party merchant (Jasper, Copy.ai, Writesonic, etc.) may set their own cookies when you visit their site. We are not responsible for their privacy practices. WriteTested is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect data from children.
